RUNNING EVENTS INFO:

42km Marathon Event – 7am start

This event begins at Hallora Recreation Reserve. The Hallora Marathon event travels into Drouin via Main South Road and connects to the Drouin end of the Two Towns Trail (at Civic Park)

The course then travels 3 times between Drouin and Warragul. Each time you come back to Civic Park in Drouin, don’t forget the snake path up and around the Drouin Footy Oval!

The event finishes at our event hub –  Western Park, Warragul.

*Note: There is also a 6.30am starting group for anyone that may take > 2 hours to run 16km to Bosanko/Pryor Road footpath. Or > 5 hours overall.

Take note of the marathon turnaround before the run, we’ll have marshalls, but we don’t want anyone going off course:

24km Event – 7am start

This event begins from Hallora Recreation Reserve and finishes at Western Park, Warragul.

The event travels into Drouin via Main South Road and connects to the Drouin end of the Two Towns Trail (at Civic Park)

You will then travel along the Two Towns Trail, straight to Western Park, Warragul – your finish line! 

This event is such a great one way course! 

*Note: As above, a 6.30am start time is available for those that may take > 2 hours to get into Drouin.

16km EVENT – 9am start

This event will start from Western Park, Warragul. 

It is an 8km out and back course, running along the Two Towns Trail, travelling into Drouin and back. You will turn around under the Two Towns Trail Arch at Drouin and then head back to Western Park – your finish line!

8km EVENT – 9.30am 

This event starts at Western Park, Warragul.

You will venture 4km along the Two Towns Trail, towards Drouin, crossing over Lardners Track and turning around at a manned turnaround point. You will then head back to Western Park – your finish line!

5km EVENT – 10am  

This event starts at Western Park Warragul.

You will venture 2.5km along the Two Towns Trail, towards Drouin, almost reaching Lardners Track. Here you will turn around at a manned turnaround point. You will then head back, to Western Park – your finish line!  

Walkers, runners and cyclists welcome.

*We’ll have marshalls and ‘turn around’ signs at each turn around point, so you don’t get lost!

KIDS DASH Event – this event will run at approximately 10.45am – 11am (just before presentations).

This event is held on the Western Park Oval – goal posts to goal posts.

No formal registration required – a monetary donation accepted upon entry.

OTHER INFO:

When and where can we collect our race bibs? 

42km and 24km participants: these will be available at Western Park before you hop on the bus (only if you are catching the bus out to the start line)

Or

At Hallora Recreation Reserve prior to your event.

16km, 8km, and 5km participants: Please collect your race bibs from the club rooms at Western Park Football Oval – these will be available from 1 hour prior to your event!

Are there any water stations along the way?

Yes, within every 5km. 

Please be mindful that being a December event, it may be warm, so if you have your own water pack/water supply, please bring it along! 

Is there first aid available? 

We will have first aid officers out in force throughout the course, for your convenience.

Is there an option for a bag drop?

Yes! At the club rooms at Western Park Football Oval, Warragul.

42km and 24km participants: we can transport your bags from the start line to Western Park. 

Is there a bus available for the 42km and 24km event participants? 

Yes! 

For those travelling out to Hallora Recreation Reserve, there is an option for you to buy a seat on our bus. 

There are two bus times to choose from – either 5:30am or 6:10am – leaving from Western Park and taking you out to the start line.

This is a one way bus. Please park your car at Western Park in Warragul. 

The bus will cost $5 and will need to be paid for on the Race Roster platform, when you register for your event. 

If you would like to add this onto your previous registration, you can do this by accessing your registration on Race Roster and clicking on ‘STORE’ 

Is there parking? 

There will be some parking at Western Park, to the right of the club rooms. It will be clearly coned off and we will have a marshall directing traffic. If there is no available parking inside the grounds, there is parking along Tarwin Street and across the road at the second oval.

Please do not obstruct the course or public traffic.

Will I receive a medal?

Yes! 

All participants will receive a competitors medal! For those who place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their event, we also have ‘placing’ medals and prizes!

Will there be coffee and food available?

There sure will be!  

Pharoah’s Angels will be cooking up a storm with their Sausage Sizzle and raising funds for the Warragul Hospital Oncology Unit.

There will also be coffee vans and food available on site, along with a market stall vibe – businesses’ such as Progressive Physiotherapy Group, Lilydale Running Company, Hoka, Rush Nutrition, Gippsland Active and more, will all be coming down to offer all things sport and nutrition! 

Pre or post event, they’ll be lots to enjoy! Please get around all of these businesses, and support local!
