The Hallora Marathon
The event was inspired by one of Daniel’s friend’s, Sarah Porter, who was diagnosed with Leukaemia.
She spent a long time at Peter Mac during her recovery. Daniel’s Pa was also diagnosed with the disease, and passed away after suffering prostate cancer.
Following this, the drive to make the Hallora Marathon Festival happen each and every year since has been inspired by these stories, and the stories of so many others.
We want to be able to raise money to allow people like Sarah and Daniel’s Pa the optimal treatment, to go on and live fulfilling lives.
A little more about the Marathon………..
The finish line at Western Park in Warragul is a great place to be for all.
The community buzz of all the spectators really assists in getting everyone over the finish line.
We have music, MCs, merchandise, food, drinks, a community BBQ fundraiser run by The Pharaoh’s Angels and so much more to enjoy and refuel after the races are complete.
The Hallora Marathon, is all about community involvement and we are extremely grateful for The Baw Baw Shire Council, as well as our sponsors and all of the local businesses, who support us each year.
We look forward to welcoming you on Sunday December 10th, 2023!
